The three waiters
The three waiters pictured here were the main El Cholo waiters in the 1930s. The man on the left, Pedro, learned that his wife was flirting with a cook at El Cholo and showed up at his house to confront him with a gun. After a struggle Pedro lost control of the gun and was shot and killed. The police deemed it self-defense but the rest of El Cholo staff would not work with the cook anymore and he left to start his own restaurant El Amigo near El Cholo.
