Where it all started in 1923! Centrally located on Western Ave in Mid City, this gem of a restaurant still has some of the original pieces (original stove and fireplace!) as well as staff who you’ve known and seen for nearly 40+ years! This gem of a location is near and dear to our hearts!

It was 1997 and while we weren’t necessarily looking to open another restaurant, the market, location and building felt right. The space was designed by our good friend Roz Smith who called it her “finest accomplishment”. This location boasts a great bar for watching sports games and often times has extended happy hour to support that. Join us in SaMo!

For many years we had sought out a downtown Los Angeles location, but all that existed was in high-rise office buildings. Definitely not El Cholo. So when we were asked to take over a single story Mediterranean building, just a short block from Crypto.com Arena and LA Live, we jumped on it. It is adobe, with an old brick wall in a beautiful dining room with a patio to boot! Join us pre or post game or whenever you’re needing a feeling of home while in DTLA!

When opening new locations, the buildings seek us out rather than the other way around. The wonderful Mexican-style building in Anaheim Hills came to us in 2012-2013 it truly felt like a great El Cholo. This location has three of our musts: a fireplace, an aquarium and a patio.

Corona Del Mar is a small community and we always knew the opportunity to open a new restaurant here was rare. In 2015, we found out the Landmark Nightclub was wanting to sell so we jumped on it! After much needed renovations, the space became very warm and exciting and the Corona del Mar neighborhood welcomed us with open arms. Join us in CDM for El Cholo’s famous recipes, a large bar and outdoor patio and a large collection of our famous framed photos!

In 1962 this space started as an El Cholo take-out location. After a year the men’s store next door moved out and we expanded to include a dining room with seven redwood picnic tables. Originally a self-serve location, we began hiring servers and expanding. We’ve been in business ever since (almost 60 years!

The Cannery Seafood of the Pacific, founded in 2002, is situated in an old fish cannery building on Newport Harbor. The dock, dating back to 1922, formerly accommodated fishing boats unloading their catch. It's now used for yachts and Duffy boats of our diners. The building is two stories, with fine dining, beautiful patio and a bar on the ground floor and a sushi restaurant and bar upstairs. The Cannery every year host four event dinners featuring baseball greats like Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose, Joe Maddon, Don Newcombe and Tom Seaver raising money for charity. There is a large hall of fame room featuring a collection of baseball memorabilia (including a check signed by Babe Ruth).
Louie's By The Bay, opened in January of 2019, is a beautiful, classic restaurant situated with a stunning view of Newport Harbor. Louie's is named after Louie Zamperini a World War II hero whose story was enshrined in the bestseller Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Louie had been both owner Ron Salisbury's babysitter in 1939 and became a lifelong close friend. Louie's is a traditional Italian steakhouse.
