A look into our rich history

Young hard-working couple, Alejandro and Rosa Borquez, recognized the passion Rosa had for cooking.  She put care and attention to her recipes and loved to cook for everyone. The story goes that one day, Alejandro pushed back his chair from the dinner table and said, ”You are such a good cook we should open up a restaurant!”  Thus, The Sonora Cafe (near the Coliseum in Los Angeles) was born which then became El Cholo!
